DASHING Writes History In The Malaysian Book Of Records With ‘The Most Augmented Reality Scanned In Art Festival’!

The weekend was full of life Kuala Lumpur came alive in a burst of colours, creativity, and cutting-edge technology during the first fully immersive Street Art Experience organized by DASHING Bad Boyz and choreographed by MYC.my. Set against the backdrop of LalaPort Bukit Bintang KL, this exceptional event marked a revolutionary celebration of street art, blending it seamlessly with Augmented Reality (AR) for a one-of-a-kind experience.

The #BreakFreeKL Youth Street Art Festival was one of a kind as it embarked on a mission to redefine how we perceive street art along with the help of Venue Partner LaLaport BBCC, Coca-Cola, and DPI Anchor spray paints, the festival brought together Malaysia's top graffiti artists, including luminaries like @akid_one, @snozze, @abdulrashade, and more

The most notable highlight of the event was the success of the festival as DASHING has set a new Malaysian record after achieving an astonishing 2,422 QR scans for ‘The Most Augmented Reality Scanned In Art Festival’!

University Teams Unleashing Their Creativity At The Festival

The heart of the festival was the #BreakFreeKL Youth Street Art Graffiti Contest, where nine university student teams from prestigious institutions including Malaysian Institution of Art, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, University College Sedaya International (UCSI), Saito University College, and UiTM Puncak Alam unleashed their creative potential as they transformed the canvas to showcase their artwork.

The participants of the event stood a chance to win enticing prizes including DASHING Bad Boys Rebel, Fierce, and Wild fragrance range, cash rewards, and the coveted experience of being live artists in a public setting.

Visitors were treated to a mesmerizing sunset view of the beautiful Kuala Lumpur city skyline along with a hot air balloon to charge up the atmosphere. The festival took full advantage of the human senses, offering an immersive experience that engaged participants' sight, scent, sound, taste, and touch. DASHING perfume fragrances wafted through the air as live graffiti walls came to life, while live music and an array of delectable treats tantalized taste buds. Visitors even had the chance to unleash their inner artist through a public spray paint area and a "Rage Room," providing a unique and therapeutic outlet for self-expression.

To being the festival to life, we were also accompanied by buskers Monocort and a performance by upcoming local singer Athalia Deena (@officialathalia) from Universal Music Malaysia to provide the perfect musical backdrop to the already vibrant environment.
