If you ask Malaysians what do we all have in common, for sure someone will answer is that we all love to eat. No matter where you go, there&rsquo;s always something delicious to eat around the corner at almost any time of the day.

But one thing that&rsquo;s difficult to handle is how people view our food and also maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the restaurant and the food. One slip up and a post on social media can mean the downfall of the restaurant as it is.
Recently, a customer took to Facebook having shared their bad experience at a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur as she came across a fishing hook while enjoying the meal with her family. Her father had found the hook inside the fish head embedded in a chunk of flesh.

&ldquo;Isn&rsquo;t it incredible? We found a fishing hook inside a fish head. Fortunately, my father didn&rsquo;t take a whole bite, and broke apart the flesh before finding the hook.&rdquo; she said.
As she was stunned, she had asked for the manager to make a report on the incident.
Manager blames distributor and not their restaurant

The woman flagged one of the waiters and explained what would happen if other families did not discover the hook or if children were to share the meal. The waiter did apologise and said it was the kitchen&rsquo;s fault for being careless which is understandable.
But things took a twist when she went to pay for the meal, she questioned the manager in charge over the matter. However, the manager allegedly responded stating that &ldquo;it&rsquo;s not our fault, it&rsquo;s the supplier&rsquo;s problem.&rdquo;

Even after this issue, the restaurant had only deducted 60 cents from the total bill as a form of &ldquo;compensation&rdquo;.
Report to JKN if ethics are not followed
The public is advised to immediately make a complain to the State Health Department (JKN) if people who sell food without complying with the ethics of preparation of the food.
Earlier in January 2022, a famous restaurant in Kelantan had been penalized under the Food Act 1983 for causing food hazards after a child had accidentally swallowed a nail which was used to seal the food packaging.

Looks like we&rsquo;ll have to be more careful when we eat outside. Sad to say the behaviour from the restaurant owner was truly disappointing and hope that no one will need to go through an issue like this again.

Customer Finds Fish Hook In Food! Restaurant Blames Supplier Instead

Growing up, we get to know different types of people with different personalities. And if you are a driver, you can definitely see how different people drive on the road.
In the worst cases, some &lsquo;forgot&rsquo; to put their signals on when changing lanes, some just completely rush through red lights, and some speed up when driving through small roads.
Like.. ugh!
Believe it or not, this shows how different people deal with their emotions when their patience is tested. However, acknowledging differences does not mean that we have to tolerate it especially when it brings harm to other people.
Just like in the recent Facebook post that showed a man breaking a woman&rsquo;s car window, with a knife!

The video started with a woman showing how she was driving towards the intersection and the car in front of her stopped. The driver then came up by her window, getting mad at her and just poked through her window with a knife!
Like, the way that man showed up with a knife and wearing a glove was already fishy and scary to me. *goosebumps*
The man then continued to threaten and question her and deemed that the woman was being impatient. He said &ldquo;Why is your car going to the side?!&rdquo; The pregnant lady then replied &ldquo;Because I thought you were turning right!&rdquo;
Then the man continued to peek through the hole he poked and lectured her that she can&rsquo;t do that and just &lsquo;be patient.&rsquo; The woman was dumbfounded and continued to question him &lsquo;why&rsquo;.
Not long after, this man suddenly brought up whether she wanted to go to the police station, and of course, the pregnant woman didn&rsquo;t hesitate and insisted on settling there.

But the man had &lsquo;chickened out&rsquo; sometime after that, and told the woman that he didn't want to go to the police station.

Thank god, it was later reported and the&nbsp;middle-aged man was arrested by the police last Sunday.
And guess what, the Kelantan Police Chief, Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said that this man actually has 7 previous records with the police. Most of the records are related to drug offenses.
See? I told you something was fishy!
The Kelantan Police Chief also explained that this incident was a result of the honking he received from other cars, which was alleged by the mad man.
Like, duh&hellip; That still doesn&rsquo;t justify his actions of harming other people!
The man was then remanded for four days starting last Monday. The Chief said, the case is being investigated according to sections 506, 279 and 427 of the Penal Code for making threats and mischief.

My take on this vid is to always be careful when driving, always be patient and act kind to other drivers. There&rsquo;s no harm in letting people go into your lane or looking out for other drivers on the road.

Viral: Police Arrests Mad Driver Who Smashed Pregnant Woman Car Window

The <a href="https://www.birmingham2022.com/">2022 Commonwealth Games ,</a> also commonly known as Birmingham 2022, is an international multi-sport event, where all members of the Commonwealth of Nations participate. The event is currently taking place in Birmingham, England, from 28th July until 8th August 2022, with the participation of an estimated &nbsp;5,054 athletes from the 72 Commonwealth nations.

What Happened?
On the morning of 31 July, &nbsp;a terrible cycling accident happened at the final lap of men&rsquo;s 15km qualifying race, leaving multiple riders and members of the audience with injuries.
The high-speed collision resulted in England&rsquo;s Matt Walls to be catapulted over the barriers, flying into the front two rows of the stands, where audience member Hugh Colvin was sitting with several family friends and his two children, aged five and seven.

Walls, who won omnium gold and madison silver for Team GB at last summer&rsquo;s Olympic games, was immediately taken to the hospital, along with two other riders: Isle of Man&rsquo;s Matt Bostock, and Canada&rsquo;s Derek Gee. &nbsp;
Two spectators were also taken away by paramedics, including a young girl who needed treatment for her minor injuries, and a man who unfortunately got covered in blood and had to be taken away in a wheelchair.
What Happened To The Family Involved?
24-year-old Walls, who has been discharged without any major injuries, had flown into the front row stands, where Hugh Colvin was seated, along with his kids and his close friends.&nbsp;
"It all happened so incredibly quickly at the speed the cyclists were going," Mr Colvin told <a href="http://bbc.com/sport/commonwealth-games/62416489.amp">BBC Sport</a>. "You can see the trajectory of the bike, it came through, grazed my daughter's shoulder, and one of the photos you can see we are obviously underneath the wheel.

Hugh&rsquo;s wife, Laura, who was not at the event that day said things could have gotten far much worse, as their young two children were extremely close to being seriously injured, or even killed.
"What has been quite hard for us to get our head around is being able to see from the photographs that were taken of the incident exactly how close this came to being a complete catastrophe," she said.

An earlier statement released by the organizers had stated that no members of the public needed any hospital treatment, which is untrue, as Colvin&rsquo;s friend is currently awaiting surgery for a serious arm injury, due to suffering a laceration to the bone. In other words, he suffered a really horrible wound, similar to a machete injury. Ouch!

As Joker was played by Joaquin Phoenix, he had won an Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of the character. Now with the 2nd movie being highly anticipated, the cast will be getting another super star as Lady Gaga will be joining in.

Lady Gaga will playing the role of Joker&rsquo;s long-time partner Harley Quinn who was previously played by Margot Robbie in the DCEU. &nbsp;
It was also rumoured that the film will incorporate a more musical element which could explain why Lady Gaga is in it. But when you think of it, the title of the movie will be &lsquo;Joker: Folie &agrave; Deux&rsquo; which literally translates to &ldquo;madness for two&rdquo;.
Initially, Joker was intended as a standalone film and it saw success in the box office and Academy Awards receiving 11 nominations including for Best Picture. It&rsquo;s no surprise why there will be a sequel to the movie.
As of now, Warner Bros. performance has been pretty bumpy.
Previously during Comic Con, Warner Bros. films had only announced Aquaman 2 and Black Adam.

Then there was the release of The Batman which was considered a success. Meanwhile The Flash series had been difficult to handle to due Ezra Miller&rsquo;s dramas with the men in blue. Lastly would be the performance of Suicide Squad which pretty much flopped at the box office.
Yeah&hellip; suicide squad was PRETTY bad.
As of now, the production of the sequel is due to kick off in December.
Now this is a film I can&rsquo;t wait to watch. But if it&rsquo;s going to be in a musical style, I wonder how many people would come to watch it. Guess we&rsquo;ll have to wait and find out.

Nippon Sushi is a locally-owned sushi outlet that is currently growing. With good reviews and contactless food distribution, there are more than 11 outlets in Malaysia at the moment.
Their newest outlet was launched last month in Penang and of course they wanted to promote it through social media.
In the means of trying to extend their promotion to the TikTok audiences, they made a promotional video featuring a TikTok influencer, CEO Batu.

But the problem was, the content.
So, the video started off by the influencer replying to a Japanese comment with some random Japanese brand and walking towards the cashier to show respect.
He then looked around and spotted a couple of friend were eating, CEO Batu then asked them if the food was tasty or not, and they answered with &ldquo;oiishii&rdquo;.
But the problem surfaced the moment he is shown trying the sushi himself, here, his eyes were taped to make it look more slanted than before.

Gig workers is a person who works a temporary job and is typically in the service sector. Yes, people who freelance very much fall into this category but don&rsquo;t forget, even our food delivery riders are considered gig workers.

Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said that alongside the attractive basic salary, riders will also receive perks such as Employee Providence Fund (EPF) and Social Security Organisations (Socso) savings account, medical coverage, annual leaves and even travel benefits.

The company says that they don&rsquo;t believe in contract staff and is now making the move towards employing all their riders as full-time employees. They will receive the same benefits that every Allstar receives as well as excellent benefits from airasia food &amp; airasia Xpress. 
Concerns on overload of applicants

Now that they are offering all these benefits, surely many people will be interested in applying for the job, right? Head of delivery Lim Ben-Jie had addressed on the issue of overload of applicants.
He says that for now, they will not have any concern as applicants will be subjected to a proper screening process before being hired. 
If it&rsquo;s one thing for sure is that airasia food and airasia Xpress will be seeing a growth of riders. They also noted that this will be a positive thing for the company as they strive to become one of the significant players in the industry such as what Grab and FoodPanda has achieve. 
If you&rsquo;re on the look out for a job then now is the time as AirAsia is still looking to grow as they only have 20 permanent riders for now. 
Aside from the company offering the full-time positions, they even rewarded six new full-time riders with two motorbikes and at least 10 flight tickets.

Currently, a protest is going on due to riders being provoked by their companies cutting their wages and requesting them to work longer hours if they want to acquire their targeted wages. Many of the riders had also demanded the delivery platforms to contribute to EPF and Socso and offer them full-time employment instead as they are risking it all to make deliveries every day.
&ldquo;In Malaysia, we have one of the highest (road) accident rates in the world and when they (the riders) get involved in an accident, what happens is that they do not have insurance and medical coverage. And if they are unable to work, they will lose their source of income. If they are unable to work for a long period of time, there is no compensation or protection that should be protected by Socso,&rdquo; said Strategy Director of PKR Youth, Bryan Ng Yih Miin.
It's great to see AirAsia put the effort in hiring full-timers for those working in the gig economy sector. Now we shall see what their competitors have to say about it.

There may be a strike held by riders from Malaysian delivery services like Grab and Food Panda for 24 hours tomorrow, on 5 August 2022.
It is stated that their strike is a result provoked by: 1) The cutting of wages 2) Long working hours
By protesting under the hashtag of&nbsp; <a href="https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=sembelihrider">&ldquo;#SembelihRider (#SlaughteringRiders) ,</a> on social media, they declared that the companies had decreased their salaries. This in turn has prompted them to work for longer hours to acquire their targeted wages.
A rider now needs to work for 12 hours a day to reach the goal of their desired income, which has increased 2 hours, compared to 10 hours in the past. Moreover, a protestor stated in a post that a Grab rider only receives RM 3.00 for each delivery.&nbsp;
The riders discussed their hope for the improvement of their fares through the strike. They revealed that they might be planning the strike for 3 days without being provided a solution that fulfils both parties.&nbsp;
Mohd Azril Ahmat, a Grab driver, claimed that there are around 60% of Grab drivers that advocate for the strike whereas 40% would oppose it.&nbsp;

To end it off, Kanye ended his conversation with Complex stating &ldquo;God step in&rdquo; which is a sign saying he&rsquo;ll need a miracle to pull this off.
Boy oh boy, looks like Adidas really has some explaining to do. Hopefully Kanye will get this sorted soon enough cause if Adidas loses Kanye&rsquo;s Yeezy line, it&rsquo;s going to be a hard hit to them and they&rsquo;ll likely lose their market positioning.

How does it affect the youngsters?
