We've watched and read many cases of bad drivers so hearing another one really doesn't phase us much, but you would really question how this guy ever got his license after he drove straight into a traffic cop, who was standing in the middle of Jalan Raja Laut to direct traffic.
A 25-year-old college student driving a Mercedes-Benz E200 car, who we are assuming to be either playing 'Pokemon Go' while driving or just plain blind as a bat, drove into a stationed traffic cop along Jalan Raja Laut to Dataran Merdeka.
Though the traffic cop took quite a rough hit, he only sustained minor injuries and was still able to walk.
Damn this cop must be a Terminator cause the car hit him pretty bad. Have a look:
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkefly Yahya reported that the 22-year-old traffic cop is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and the 25-year-old student has been detained.
“The driver was detained to facilitate investigations,” he said, adding that the Mercedes driver is a college student from Ipoh, Perak.
He said the case is being investigated for reckless driving under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Well, another bad driver off the road is good news, I guess(?)
Oh btw, Any speculations that the Mercedes may have skidded on a wet surface have been shot down as Mr. Zulkefly has confirmed that the roads were dry on that day and time of the incident.
