Good news! The long-awaited reopening of Malaysian and Singaporean borders is finally set on Aug 17.

Our Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin met up with his counterpart Dr Vivian Balakrishnan at the borders and announced the news in a press conference yesterday.
Here is a summary of their announcement:
- Cross border applications can be done either under the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) or the Periodic Commuting Agreement (PCA). For more info, read our article here
- Applications can be submitted from Aug 10.
- Travellers from both sides must obey the SOPs set by both governments.
Sadly, the SOPs and category of travellers are still vaguely defined. More details need to be released before we get confused again.
Well, this is one great way to kick start our Mondays! More families and friends can finally reunite! Reminds me of the scene in "Crash Landing on You!"
