Every day, we are confronted with distressing news about animals being subjected to abuse by their owners or other individuals. It is disheartening that humans have yet to grasp the concept that animals are living beings who breathe just like us. One particular case sheds light on the severity of this issue. An elderly man, aged 61, cruelly tied his dog to his four-wheel car using a chain and callously dragged the poor dog to another plantation.&nbsp;

In an attempt to justify his actions, he claimed that his dog had refused to board his lorry, leaving him no choice but to resort to chaining the dog outside. Tragically, this merciless treatment resulted in the dog bleeding to death.
The disturbing incident has sparked widespread outrage, and the elderly man in Port Dickson has been claimed to be the owner of Heng Kee Roasted Pork, a renowned restaurant specializing in roast pork.&nbsp;
Netizens were appalled and incensed after a video surfaced depicting a dog mercilessly dragged along the road in Lukut, Port Dickson, resulting in severe bleeding.
Rajes Donarow, a poultry farmer who happened to witness this horrific scene, recounted the events as of last Saturday (May 27), as Rajes savoured a cup of tea outside his residence, he was startled to observe the defenceless canine being forcibly dragged behind a moving vehicle.&nbsp;
Overwhelmed by compassion, Rajes got on his motorcycle and pursued the man. He had then signalled him to stop but he kept on driving Eventually, Rajes managed to overtake the driver, blocked his path and yanked the keys out of the ignition, putting a stop to his escape.
&ldquo;I asked him why he was dragging the dog in such a cruel manner instead of using the lorry or four-wheel drive that he owned.&rdquo;
&ldquo;He then told me that he was moving the dog to another plantation and claimed that it refused to get onto the lorry,&rdquo; he said.
The driver, Rajes Donarow then uploaded the<a href="https://www.facebook.com/100069615408270/videos/784170936405590/"> video </a>of the dog chained to the side of a car, which went viral on Facebook.

It's seen in the video that the dog&rsquo;s paws were all bleeding and the dog had collapsed from what is being said by Rajes, &nbsp;the gravel was also scraping its chest while the man continued driving.
"I wanted to save the dog, but sadly, it had passed away," lamented Rajes
He said that it was his first time seeing the suspect torturing an animal, but other villagers claimed they have allegedly seen it many times. This heinous act of cruelty has inflicted profound distress upon communities and social media users alike, eliciting resounding calls for justice and stringent repercussions against the perpetrator.&nbsp;
Over the past few days, social media posts with footage of the suspect allegedly working at a roast pork restaurant were widely circulated.
"The suspect said, 'Saya tak ada risau, saya bukan Islam (I'm not worried because I am not a Muslim).'&nbsp;
Thousands of netizens condemned the suspect for being "heartless" and "cruel".
The restaurant's Facebook page had also been taken down after the animal abuse case came to light.

Rajes immediately reported the incident to the police, and on 29 May, the 61-year-old dog owner was arrested
According to a <a href="https://www.nst.com.my/news/crime-courts/2023/05/914780/elderly-man-nabbed-over-animal-cruelty?_ga=2.39868779.811655972.1685498067-1098070240.1681434653">news source</a>, Port Dickson district police chief Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed confirmed that the police received a complaint from a man who saw the animal being treated cruelly.

As per the original poster (OP), this issue began a couple of months ago when Razeeq shared pictures on his TikTok account featuring himself and a friend posing beside graves in a Christian cemetery late at night. This act prompted criticism, with many condemning it as an offensive "photoshoot" that displayed a lack of respect for the deceased.
Despite facing substantial backlash in the comments section of his TikTok posts, Razeeq remained unapologetic and refused to acknowledge his wrongdoing. Education plays a pivotal role for students from various backgrounds because with education, their future can be brightened and more human capital can be produced for the country&rsquo;s growth and stability be it for economic, political, or social reasons. 
Nothing brings more joy when students are eligible for free tertiary education to further their studies and pursue their dreams. This is true in the case of Sarawakian students. Recently, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg officially announced that students from Sarawak who are eligible to enter into the institutes will be able to pursue their free tertiary education at state-owned universities from the year 2026 onwards. 
The five state-owned universities include Curtin University, Swinburne University, University of Technology Sarawak (UTS), i-CATS University College, and lastly, the Kolej Laila Taib (KLT).

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 20th edition of the Tidal Bore Festival in Simanggang on the 1st of October, Sunday, he revealed confidently that he foresees the future economic condition will be much stronger, and by that time, it will be a suitable year to conduct it.

According to him, the yearly projection of Sarawak&rsquo;s income has rocketed since 2020. Moreover, Sarawak had a recorded revenue of RM12 billion last year and he believes this year will be more fruitful than the previous. 
He also stated that there was a fund known as the &lsquo;Sarawak Sovereign Wealth Future Fund.&rsquo; To date, the fund is sufficient to offer free tertiary education, and the remaining balance will go to young Sarawakians besides boosting the state&rsquo;s economy as well as enhancing the infrastructure development throughout the state.&nbsp;

Recently, a couple embarked on a trip to Genting Highlands, a popular destination known for its refreshing highland climate and respite from the city's heat. However, not all trips unfold seamlessly. During their journey back from their hillside outing, the couple suddenly realized that their wallet was missing.
The original poster (OP) recounted that as they headed back to Raub, the realization of their missing wallet sank in, and they were close to giving up hope of retrieving it. However, thanks to his wife's quick thinking, she suggested contacting the Marrybrown restaurant where they had dined to inquire about their lost wallet.

There is a saying that says &ldquo;A dog is man&rsquo;s best friend&rdquo; and cats too can be one&rsquo;s best friend when he or she is a cat lover. However, some are dispassionate towards animals and worst still, mistreating them like no other. Thus, they are left in a doomed situation while going through their lives. 
Not long ago, an X user (formerly known as Twitter), <a href="https://twitter.com/izzat_bashir">@izzat_bashir</a> shared a distressing scene of a cat that was found to be feeble at a public university in Gombak, Selangor, and its body was full of white paint in which he posted a few photos and a video to describe the cat&rsquo;s ill condition.

As such, the post has gone viral with netizens expressing anger and resentment for being cruel to the furry feline.

At the time of writing, many requested Izzat to update the cat&rsquo;s condition and this shows their sympathetic and concerned hearts towards it.

Can you imagine the smell of toxicity that it breathes when it is entirely covered with white paint? It is just way too hard for us to bear, and so does the cat. 
According to Izzat, he mentioned that no one should be cruel to animals. If you dislike it, just leave it as it is rather than being cold-blooded and harming it. After all, they are purely innocent and are merely trying to survive their lives. 
He further updated his social media that the &lsquo;meow&rsquo; is now in clean condition after a bath. However, it still appears to be weak.

Outraged by the unfortunate incident, he expressed that he had informed about the unpleasant situation to the relevant authorities for the necessary action. 
According to the <a href="https://www.animal.org.my/animal-welfare-act-2015/">Animal Welfare Act 2015</a>, under Part V (Cruelty to Animals) of section 29, whoever is deemed guilty of animal cruelty shall be fined not less than RM20,000 and not more than RM 100,000, or imprisonment of not more than 3 years or both. 
This is to say, we should not mistreat animals for they are special creatures that deserve to be adored and appreciated, or else, the consequences will be a heavy punishment to bear and the moral of the story is, that those who commit should be responsible for it.
