If you missed out on the news, Taylor Swift is coming by Singapore next year for an epic 6-day concert from 2nd to 9th March 2024.
Initially, her concert was set to be for 3 days and due to the overwhelming response, she extended it for a further 3 days in hopes that it would give more opportunities for fans to come to see her concert live.

Scalpers Are Back &amp; Fans Are Not Loving It

Yesterday (5th July) marked the sale of the UOB presale for her upcoming concert and just like Coldplay, there were over one million virtual users queueing up for the presale tickets. Unfortunately, after 3 hours, some fans were left disappointed as the tickets were all swiftly (pun intended) sold out.
But with all ticket sales, there&rsquo;s always a dark side to things as fans have spotted users on Carousell already putting up the recently purchased tickets for sale on Carousell.
Here&rsquo;s the cost of the ticket and the seating arrangements for the concert:

Now, for Taylor Swift standards, the tickets are indeed considered &ldquo;affordable&rdquo; but thanks to scalpers online, many saw the rise in the price of the tickets as Cat 1 tickets were listed between $480 to $3,000 (~RM1,651 &ndash; RM10,322).

While browsing through the listings, one of the sellers who listed the ticket for S$600 (~RM2,064) stated he&rsquo;s being spammed with messages from buyers and will only reply selectively. Meanwhile, another seller said that the ticket listed at S$480 (~RM1,651) will only be sold off the ticket to the highest bidder.

For those looking for the &lsquo;It&rsquo;s Been A Long Time Coming&rsquo; VIP package which is priced at $1,228 (~RM4,431), it&rsquo;s going to cost you a bomb as one scalper is selling it for S$16,000 (RM~55,054) per ticket.

Last Chance To Purchase Tickets 
As all the pre-sales are now over, tomorrow (7 July) will be the general sale for the concert and it's expected that millions of people are going to try their luck again to purchase the ticket.
For those interested, you can purchase your tickets via <a href="https://ticketmaster.sg/activity/detail/24_taylorswift">Ticketmaster</a> at 12pm. Do note that users are limited to 4 tickets per account and that there are additional booking fees as follows:

If you're travelling on Bus 11, you can get off at Stadium Station (80199). For Bus 10, 14, 16, 16M, 70, and 196, you can alight at either National Stadium (80219) or Opposite National Stadium (80211).
By MRT:
If you're taking the MRT to the concert venue, the nearest station to alight at is Stadium MRT Station (CC6) on the Circle Line.
Alternatively, you can also get off at Mountbatten MRT Station (CC7) or Kallang MRT Station (EW10), both of which are approximately 600m away from the Singapore Sports Hub when walking.

The tragic discovery of a 39-year-old schoolteacher&rsquo;s decomposed body in her Johor home has sparked widespread concern and prompted authorities to issue a public appeal for assistance in tracing her only known living relative. The woman, who had been absent from work since September last year, is believed to have died alone nearly a month prior to the discovery of her remains.
Alarming Smell Leads to Grim Discovery

On the evening of Thursday, 12 June, residents of Bandar Selesa Jaya in Skudai were alarmed by a strong foul smell emanating from a house in their neighbourhood. After days of tolerating the stench, one concerned neighbour finally lodged a police report at the Nusa Bestari Police Station at approximately 8:06pm.
Responding officers forced entry into the premises, where they were met with a harrowing scene: the lifeless, heavily decomposed body of a woman&mdash;later identified as Lo Kwan Fong, also known as Luo Qunfeng (transliteration)&mdash;was found inside the house.
According to Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan, the Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief, the victim is believed to have died about a month earlier. Early observations ruled out any signs of a struggle or forced entry.
No Foul Play Suspected, But Autopsy Inconclusive

A post-mortem examination was carried out at Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) in Johor Bahru by forensic specialists. The body had reportedly deteriorated to such an extent that internal indicators were no longer viable for a conclusive assessment.
&ldquo;The autopsy could not ascertain the cause of death. However, there were no signs of criminal activity, and we have classified this as a case of sudden death,&rdquo; said ACP Kumarasan.
This classification rules out foul play for now, though police have not entirely closed the file, pending any new leads or forensic insights.
Months of Absence and Increasing Isolation

Lo, a teacher at a school in Taman Tunku Aminah, had not reported for work since 24 September 2024. In February 2025, her colleagues paid her a visit at home. It was the last confirmed contact anyone had with her. Subsequent efforts to reach her, including further home visits and attempts to call, went unanswered. Neighbours also noted that they had not seen her in a long time, but it wasn&rsquo;t until the strong odour began to spread that authorities were contacted.
She led a quiet, solitary life. According to her colleagues, she was reserved and rarely spoke about her personal affairs. She had reportedly lost both parents before 2010, and it was believed she had no siblings. She never married and had no children.
The only relative she had ever mentioned was her maternal aunt, who had moved to Singapore many years ago. This aunt, now estimated to be around 74 years old, is presumed to be her only surviving family member. However, no direct contact information for the aunt is known, making the search more difficult.
Her colleagues, heartbroken by the manner in which she passed, have since appealed for public assistance in finding this relative so that Lo can be laid to rest by family, not strangers.
Funeral Plans On Hold As Search for Kin Continues

Lo&rsquo;s body remains at the morgue while police and hospital authorities wait for her next of kin to come forward. &ldquo;Although people have come forward to help with her final rites, we truly hope her relative can be found to give her the proper farewell she deserves,&rdquo; said one co-worker. &ldquo;No one should have to die and be buried alone, especially someone who contributed to shaping the lives of young students.&rdquo;
Police and Public Appeal for Information
Authorities are now actively tracing Lo&rsquo;s family and have issued a public call for anyone with information to assist. Those who may have known Lo&rsquo;s family background or her late mother&rsquo;s connections in Singapore are urged to come forward.

A disturbing incident in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, has ignited widespread outrage after a university student was allegedly caught recording upskirt videos of women using a mobile phone hidden in a shopping bag. The dramatic confrontation was captured in a viral video, leading to the discovery of over 500GB of voyeuristic footage and triggering renewed concerns over public safety and predatory behaviour in urban areas.
Suspicious Behaviour Spotted in Crowded Street

The incident unfolded near the popular Lot 10 shopping mall, where a group of Malaysian university students noticed a man behaving oddly as he trailed a woman wearing a skirt. Inside the bag, his smartphone was facing upward, allegedly positioned to secretly film beneath her clothing.
Realising something was wrong, the group&mdash;including the woman&rsquo;s friends&mdash;immediately confronted him. One of them grabbed his hand and asked, &ldquo;Bro, what are you recording?&rdquo; as another began recording the confrontation. The man, who was wearing a face mask, attempted to flee but was stopped at a nearby traffic light and later tackled to the ground when he tried to escape again.
Students Take Action Before Police Arrive

Initially, no incriminating content was visible, prompting concerns that the man may have deleted evidence. However, one of the students realised that some Android devices can switch between multiple user accounts or operating environments. Upon switching systems, they made a chilling discovery.
Staggering Archive of Voyeuristic Material Uncovered

Many of the victims appeared to be unaware they were being filmed, and several were reportedly not wearing safety shorts, making the act even more invasive.
Additional material found on the device allegedly included records linked to online gambling platforms, prompting speculation that the suspect may be involved in other illegal activities.
Suspect Believed to Be a Cyberjaya Student
Further investigation by the group revealed that the man is believed to be a student at a university in Cyberjaya. This revelation has sparked concern that such predatory behaviour might be occurring undetected within academic environments.
Fearing that the man could evade serious consequences or return to campus under false pretences, the students decided to publicly share their experience and the video of the confrontation. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t want this person to tell people he was arrested for gambling and just carry on as if nothing happened,&rdquo; said one of the students involved.
Motivated by Justice, Not Fame
The video quickly went viral, with many praising the students for their courage and initiative. However, the individuals behind the video were quick to clarify their motivations. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re not doing this for attention or praise. Students Confront Suspected Voyeur In Bukit Bintang: 500GB Of Upskirt Videos Found

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have come under the spotlight once again following the circulation of a video featuring one of its officers allegedly engaging in inappropriate behaviour. The footage, lasting just over two minutes, shows a lower-ranking officer involved in a lewd conversation with a woman, during which he is heard inviting her either to his house or to a hotel. The video was widely shared on social media, drawing public criticism and raising questions over professional conduct within the force.
According to PDRM, the incident is believed to have taken place in the Ampang Jaya district of Selangor. In response, a disciplinary and criminal investigation has been launched against the officer.

Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad, Director of PDRM&rsquo;s Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS), confirmed that the department is actively investigating the case from both disciplinary and supervisory standpoints. Separately, Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail revealed that the officer in question has already been temporarily relieved of his duties pending the outcome of the investigation.

The officer is now being investigated under two key laws. The first is Section 509 of the Penal Code, which deals with words or gestures intended to insult a person&rsquo;s modesty. The second is Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, which addresses the misuse of network facilities or services to transmit offensive or indecent content.
In tandem with the criminal investigation, an internal disciplinary process is being carried out to assess breaches of the police code of conduct.

Integrity Issues Plague PDRM Amid Officer Misconduct Scandal

The recent viral misconduct case is just the tip of the iceberg for the PDRM, as broader concerns about internal discipline and professionalism continue to mount. Between January and May 2025, 492 officers were subjected to disciplinary action, with 59 dismissed and 146 suspended, according to Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad, Director of PDRM&rsquo;s Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS).
The most common offences were integrity-related violations (333 cases), followed by governance issues (45), drug offences (42), criminal acts (38), syariah breaches (19), and corruption (15). The figures were revealed during Azri&rsquo;s visit to the newly officiated Maran District Police Headquarters, which serves over 115,000 residents.
Public complaints about police misconduct also surged, with 2,637 reports filed in just five months&mdash;1,892 formal complaints and 745 public tips. In response, PDRM launched the Aduan JIPS PDRM app, offering a more transparent platform for the public to report wrongdoing.
End of a Career and a Call for Reform
Azri&rsquo;s remarks came as part of his final tour of duty, with his retirement scheduled for 26 June 2025, marking the end of a 37-year career in the police service. His departure comes at a pivotal moment, as PDRM faces mounting pressure to reform and rebuild trust with the public.
While the current case may involve a single officer, it has highlighted systemic concerns around supervision, discipline, and the need for continued vigilance against abuses of power.

PDRM Officer Under Investigation After Inappropriate Remarks Caught In Viral Video

In a striking example of how appearances can be deceiving, two luxury car drivers were recently caught by the Selangor Road Transport Department (JPJ) for driving without valid road tax and insurance. Despite being behind the wheel of a BMW X5 and a Ford Mustang, both drivers claimed they were unable to renew their documents due to financial hardship.
The enforcement operation, Ops Harian, was held on Thursday, 12 June 2025, along the Kajang&ndash;Cheras Expressway, and ran from 2pm to 11pm. The two high-end vehicles were stopped during routine checks, and further inspection revealed they were in breach of road regulations.
Excuses Don&rsquo;t Match the Lifestyle: &ldquo;We Couldn&rsquo;t Afford It&rdquo;

According to Selangor JPJ Director Azrin Borhan, the Ford Mustang, driven by a man in his early 30s, was flagged for not having a valid Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM) or insurance. The driver claimed he was unable to renew his road tax due to being blacklisted as a result of multiple outstanding traffic summonses.
The driver of the BMW X5, a man in his 40s, was found to be in even more serious violation &mdash; his vehicle had been driven with an expired road tax for more than a year and without any valid insurance coverage. When asked for an explanation, he too cited financial difficulties as the reason.
Both men stated that although they could afford to purchase luxury cars, they were struggling to maintain legal compliance with basic motoring requirements, such as road tax and insurance.
JPJ: &ldquo;Owning a Luxury Car Does Not Make You Above the Law&rdquo;

In response to the violations, both vehicles were immediately seized and taken to the JPJ Shah Alam branch for further investigation and enforcement action.
Azrin Borhan delivered a strong message to the public:
&ldquo;Driving an expensive vehicle is not a licence to break the law. Regardless of income or status, all road users must follow the same regulations. There will be no exceptions for those who own luxury cars.&rdquo;
He also stressed that stern action would be taken against individuals who are found to be negligent or who intentionally ignore their responsibilities as drivers.
A Recurring Issue: Expensive Cars, Missing Paperwork

The two vehicles involved in this latest case &mdash; a Ford Mustang and a BMW X5 &mdash; are each worth hundreds of thousands of ringgit in the Malaysian market. The discrepancy between such valuable assets and the drivers&rsquo; claimed inability to pay for legal documents has reignited public concern over irresponsible ownership practices.
JPJ Urges Public to Stay Vigilant and Report Violations
JPJ also encouraged members of the public to report traffic offences through official channels. Those who witness violations or suspect similar offences can lodge a report by emailing aduantrafik@jpj.gov.my or by using the e-Aduan JPJ mobile app. Reports should include sufficient detail and the complainant&rsquo;s contact information to allow for proper follow-up.
Azrin concluded his statement by calling on all motorists to take responsibility for their vehicles and comply with national road safety laws at all times.
&ldquo;Road safety is a shared responsibility. We urge everyone to ensure their vehicles are properly taxed, insured, and maintained. Anyone found to be negligent will face legal consequences.&rdquo;
