Halloween seems to be arriving ahead of schedule in Malaysia this year, thanks to the presence of the renowned horror manga master, Junji Ito, and his chilling 'Junji Ito Horror House' exhibition in Kuala Lumpur!
For those unfamiliar with Junji Ito, he is an internationally acclaimed Japanese horror manga artist whose influence has transcended borders, leaving an indelible mark across Asia and beyond. With a portfolio boasting over 100 horror stories, many of which have been adapted into films, TV series, and video games, Ito has solidified his position as a pillar of the horror genre.

One of his most iconic works is 'Uzumaki,' hailed as a classic in the realm of horror manga. This spine-tingling tale unfolds in the quaint town of Kurozu-cho, where supernatural horrors take the form of spirals rather than traditional spirits. Junji Ito's distinctive art style breathes life into these seemingly mundane shapes, transforming them into objects of terror.
'Uzumaki' delves into some of Ito's favourite themes, such as obsession, paranoia, and the surreal pervading the ordinary. The impact of 'Uzumaki' extends far beyond the pages of the manga, with adaptations including video games, a live-action movie, and an upcoming anime series, all inspired by Ito's spiral-infused horror narrative.

Instead of venturing abroad for a Halloween event or party, why not embark on a journey through the iconic anime settings inspired by Junji Ito's stories? These immersive environments come to life through a creative blend of artwork, live actors, and special effects.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a total of 13 meticulously curated rooms, each designed to provide an authentic group experience for up to 8 people. This ensures that the horror narrative goes beyond mere observation, immersing participants in the chilling atmosphere of the horror house.
It's worth noting that photography is not permitted in Hall A and Hall B. However, Hall C serves as a central focal point where Junji Ito's masterful creations take centre stage. This hall also features a dedicated exhibit showcasing the world of 'Uzumaki.'

How Much Is It And Where Will It Be Held?
For the dedicated enthusiasts, the exhibition will be making its seasonal visit to Kuala Lumpur, taking residence at Lalaport BBCC from September 28th to November 30th.
Early bird tickets are currently available, with prices ranging from RM39 to RM79. It's important to keep in mind that this pre-sale offer is valid only until September 27th, after which tickets will be available at their original prices, starting from RM49. Additionally, there are separate pricing structures for weekdays and weekends, along with various bundle deals on offer.
