The Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship is a prestigious undergraduate scholarship for high-potential students with a strong commitment to contributing to the development of Malaysia. In addition to financial support, recipients (Tunku Scholars) undergo a two-year leadership development programme focused on building ethical, community-driven young leaders.
Scholarship Benefits

Full tuition fee sponsorship at any MQA-accredited public or private university in Malaysia

Monthly living allowance throughout the scholarship period

Annual allowances for professional development, books, stationery, and limited flight expenses (East–West Malaysia)

One-off allowance for essential academic and professional needs (e.g. laptop, thesis costs, formal attire)
Leadership Development Programme
Scholars will participate in a structured leadership programme focusing on:

Community Leadership – driving meaningful community impact

Employability – developing skills for diverse career pathways
Eligibility (Key Requirements)

Open to prospective or current undergraduate students in MQA-accredited programmes in Malaysia

Prospective students must begin their degree by March 2027

Current students must have at least two (2) years remaining in their degree (graduation after September 2028)

Conditional offers may be given to pre-university graduates pending admission to a recognised Malaysian university
Priority is given to candidates who:

Have faced significant life challenges

Demonstrate strong leadership potential and values

Come from challenging backgrounds, including PWDs, rural communities, or households earning below RM5,250 per month
