Applications are now open for those seeking to study in Romania. The programmes offered are Bachelor's Degree, Masters's and Ph.D. Scholarships without IELTS for the academic year 2023-2024.

Romania is offering many scholarships to international students and all expenses will be covered under the Romanian Scholarships. Applicants will be given the option to study on a fully-funded or partially-funded scholarship offered by the government and universities. It is open to both local and international students every year.

No application fee is required if one would like to apply for the scholarship. Additionally, there are no requirements for IELTS or TOEFL as an entrance examination.

Government Scholarships:

Offered by the Romanian government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The University offers scholarships for undergraduate and graduate degrees. This includes scholarships for scientific achievement, scholarships for merit, and special scholarships.

Transilvania Academica Scholarships

Transilvania Academica Scholarship is designed as a competition for international students from non-EU or non-EEA countries.

The scholarship covers:

  • tuition fees (including registration and graduation fees);
  • free accommodation in the university’s dormitories (including holidays);
  • a monthly allowance of 800 lei (approx. 170 USD, including holidays).

The travel expenses and the costs incurred by the visa for Romania will be covered by the candidate.

Calendar of the selection process:

20.02.2023 – 28.04.2023 – Candidates’ registration by filling in the online application form;
02.05.2023 – 26.05.2023 – Evaluation of application files;
29.05.2023 – 30.05.2023 – Approval of the list of selected candidates (including a pending list);
31.05.2023 – Announcing selected candidates via e-mail.
