Talking on the topic of travelling, aside from producing the proper documentations for travelling, knowing how to use the public transport system or even the payment systems of the country can get pretty confusing for some.
The one best example would be how we travel between Malaysia and Singapore. A good thing about travelling between the two countries is that authorities had made it easy for all of us as we can rent a vehicle, take public transport or even take a plane ride across . All we need to do is ensure that before we go on a trip, we just do the proper research for it.
Commonly, a lot of Singaporean folks like to come to Malaysia by car via the Woodlands or the Tuas Checkpoint. After making their way through the immigration, they can freely drive anywhere around Malaysia with no issue as long as they have a Touch n&rsquo; Go (TNG) card to pass through the toll along the highway.

Recently TikTok influencer Nicole Liel had shared her story of how she almost got &ldquo;scammed&rdquo; by the Malaysian toll system but was helped instead.

Nicole said that she&rsquo;s heard many stories of how in Malaysia there are a lot of robbers and scammers but this time around, she wants to shed some light on the hospitality us Malaysians have. Nicole had entered Malaysia with a rental vehicle with 3 others from The Straits Time Singapore who she dubbed as the 4 clueless Singaporeans. &nbsp;Their trip was initially smooth till they had to go through a toll booth where they realised that no one had brought a TNG card along.

As Nicole joked that she&rsquo;s a problem solving &lsquo;big brain&rsquo; content creator in the midst of all these boomers (in reference to the other 3 passengers in the vehicle), she decided to suggest to borrow the TNG card of the vehicle behind them. Thankfully the person behind was friendly enough to help them.
The funny part of all this was how the Singaporeans all thought that the toll was very expensive as the driver of the car behind them who lent the card stated that he had a balance of RM200 on his TNG card but the lady (the 3rd passenger) who took the card misheard his statement and thought the toll was RM200 instead and paid him RM200.&nbsp;

How can I spend $200 just on one toll? (If) you need to pass 5 tolls in Malaysia right, I have to spend $1000, one way, to go into Singapore. Sounds like the math is not &lsquo;mathing&rsquo; (adding up),&rdquo; said Nicole.
They got equally confused as prior to them passing the toll booth, they noticed that the previous car that passed the toll had a balance of more or less RM40 which led them to assume the toll fare was around that price. That prompted the lady to run to the car behind them to get their balance of &nbsp;&nbsp;RM150 back from the man behind.
Now that&rsquo;s one expensive toll huh?
After the whole dilemma, they had continued on their journey and had went to make a pit stop at the R&amp;R ad noticed that the guy who lend his TNG card to them had followed them and parked his car. He then got down to explain to them that the roll was not that expensive and that it only cost RM4 and returned their leftover RM50 without wanting to charge them for the toll fare.

The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has issued a formal termination notice to ride-hailing platform inDrive, signalling the potential end of the company&rsquo;s operations in Malaysia. The notice, dated 24 April 2025, gives the company three months to either resolve the situation or return its Intermediation Business Licence (IBL) by 24 July 2025.
APAD cited non-compliance with conditions outlined under the Land Public Transport Act 2010 (Act 715) and regulatory requirements introduced in 2019. These include failing to ensure that its drivers possess valid Public Service Vehicle (PSV) and E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (eVP) licences&mdash;documents that are legally mandatory for all e-hailing drivers in Malaysia.

Who Are RIIZE?

RIIZE is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment, debuting on September 4, 2023, with the single album Get a Guitar. The group originally consisted of seven members: Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee, Anton, and Seunghan. However, Seunghan departed from the group in October 2024.
RIIZE quickly gained attention with their debut single Get a Guitar, which sold over a million copies in its first week, making them the first group not formed through a survival show to achieve such a feat. Who Is Baekhyun?
