As Saturday kicked into high gear, the highlight, aside from the crowd-favourite hot air balloon, was a dazzling array of performances. The stage came alive with the musical talents of Tribocity, Rafwy, Chewbaka, JEKNORTH, IJ, Hullera, and, of course, the beloved Malaysian sensation, Insomniacks!

Despite a few light showers, everyone persevered and illuminated the atmosphere, thoroughly revelling in the captivating performances by the artists.

Graffiti Artists &amp; University Teams Unleashing Their Creativity

As festival-goers weaved through the lively atmosphere, a burst of creativity unfolded courtesy of local graffiti virtuosos @asmoeroc, @akid_one, @escapeva, and @siek27. Collaborating with the artistic prowess of university teams from the Malaysian Institute of Art and Saito University, the festival grounds metamorphosed into an enchanting canvas, vibrant masterpieces coming to life at every stroke.
Beyond showcasing their artistic finesse, the university teams had more than just applause awaiting them. Engaged in a spirited battle, these talented groups competed fiercely, with only one earning the prestigious title of the ultimate victor.

Commencing Day 2 with a burst of energy, our journey unfolded with an electrifying Cosplay performance featuring 39 exceptionally talented Cosplayers hailing from across the Klang Valley. Capturing the essence of their vibrant dance and singing performances, the event truly came alive, amplified by the infectious energy fueled by the delightful So Tinge drinks.

Our joy continued with live J-band performances, featuring the incredible vocal talents of local cosplayer <a href="https://www.instagram.com/_hsachiko_/">@_hsachiko_</a>and the dynamic vibes of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/purpletaugeh/">Purple Taugeh</a>, a sensational student band that rocked the rooftop of LaLaport BBCC.
As the sun gracefully set over the Kuala Lumpur city skyline, the atmosphere intensified, ushering in the exhilarating Random K-Pop Dance Performances. The audience erupted in cheers, enthusiastically supporting the mesmerizing dance routines that showcased the best of Malaysian youth talent, seamlessly navigating the classic and modern K-Pop dance categories.

As each category drew to a close, only the top 5 performers emerged, earning their coveted spots. The restaurant, already popular with long lines, became so overwhelmed by the crowd that its management had to close the shutters to control the influx of people.

For those familiar with car culture, Malaysia has a notable presence in Southeast Asia. Thanks to the team behind Retro Havoc, Speed got to experience a few laps in a drift car. The ride was not only thrilling but also quite nerve-wracking for him, as the car drifted dangerously close to the circuit walls.
Ending Things Off With A Ramly Burger
Later that evening, after enjoying the drift car and learning to ride a bike, Speed's fans suggested he try a Ramly Burger, a staple of Malaysian street food. When he arrived at a stall selling these famous burgers, he was thrilled to watch the preparation process and exclaimed, &ldquo;Oh my God, this (burger) looks so good. This burger is wrapped in an egg. I've never seen this menu before,&rdquo; all while jumping with excitement.

Once the burger was ready, it was handed to Speed for him to taste. His first bite immediately revealed the burger's deliciousness and his expression showed just how much he appreciated the street food. Nodding in approval at the burger seller, Speed confessed that everything in Malaysia, including the food, was amazing. Despite the chaos, he genuinely enjoyed his experience.
To show his gratitude, Speed also gave the seller a generous tip.
As Speed&rsquo;s tour in Malaysia wraps up, it&rsquo;s clear that his visit will be one for the books. His livestream hit an impressive peak of nearly 328,000 viewers, and by the time of writing, the video had amassed 8.2 million views, marking it as one of the most-watched VODs from his Southeast Asia tour. In addition to the overwhelming response, he gained over 120,000 new subscribers during the nearly five-hour-long broadcast.

In response to the rising number of cases, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a state of emergency. Although the Ministry of Health (KKM) is typically the official source for announcements on medical issues in Malaysia, a few days ago, an account claiming to be a doctor shared a post about a patient inquiring about the cost of Mpox testing.
The account, @noki2024, posted two photos allegedly showing the patient's hand and foot, both covered in noticeable bumps. According to the post, the patient had visited a "sauna" and soon after noticed the appearance of rashes.

Will Be Introduced In Stages

Malaysians will be able to apply for the ETA starting November 27, 2024. The application process is straightforward and can be completed via the UK ETA app or on the GOV.UK website. The application is generally processed within three working days, though using the app may result in a faster decision. The ETA costs &pound;10 (~RM56) and is valid for two years, allowing for multiple entries into the UK with stays of up to six months at a time. However, if you get a new passport, you will need to apply for a new ETA.
It&rsquo;s crucial to understand that the ETA is not considered as a visa. Malaysians planning to reside in the UK for more than six months, such as for work or study, will still need to apply for a visa. However, it&rsquo;s noted that those who already hold a valid UK visa do not need to obtain an ETA. The British High Commission has clarified that while the application and approval process is managed by UK Visas and Immigration, their office in Kuala Lumpur is not involved in this process.

Otter Attacks Jogger At Kinabalu Park
In a surprising turn of events, a woman was attacked by a group of otters at a recreational park in Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu on the morning of September 11.
The victim, Mariasella Harun, was on her usual morning jog at Perdana Park around 6:10 a.m. when the incident occurred. After completing 2 km, she noticed something emerging from a drain and initially thought it was a cat. However, to her shock, an otter suddenly leapt at her and bit her, soon followed by a group of otters surrounding and attacking her.

Mariasella recounted how she struggled for what felt like five agonising minutes, trying to fend off the animals until other joggers rushed to help.
She sustained multiple injuries to her arms, legs, and head, and was immediately taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she received antibacterial treatment and a rabies vaccine. Doctors advised hospitalization for further observation, though they couldn&rsquo;t stitch her wounds yet due to the risk of complications from the bites.
Still recovering and visibly shaken, Mariasella mentioned that while she had spotted otters at the park during previous runs, she never approached them, only taking videos from a distance. She emphasised that she had not provoked the animals and couldn&rsquo;t understand why they attacked her.

The fence has since been repaired, but the public is encouraged to report any sightings of otters in the park. If the animals return, authorities will need to capture and relocate them for safety reasons.
As a precaution, the public is urged not to feed, approach, or antagonize the otters in any way. Otters are protected under Schedule 2 of the Wildlife Conservation Enactment 1997 and are commonly found in rivers and lakes.
