Money

Remember, you’ll have till 29 February 2024 to use the money.

Two days have passed since the launch of the e-Madani application, offering Malaysians the opportunity to apply and redeem an RM100 eMadani eWallet credit. As of now, a significant number of individuals have successfully claimed their RM100 on various platforms like MAE, TnG eWallet, Setel, or even Shopee after meeting the initiative's requirements.

Yet, amidst the success stories, a concern has arisen. Some applicants, despite meeting the criteria, are facing rejections for the eMadani credit. Let's delve into the details of these issues and explore potential solutions.

What’s The Eligibility To Receive The eMadani eWallet?

If you happened to miss our initial article detailing the eMadani RM100 eWallet, here's a quick recap of the essential criteria individuals must meet:

  1. Be a Malaysian citizen.
  2. Aged 21 or older in 2023
  3. Is a Sumbangan Tunai Ramah recipient (as of 7th November 2023) or earning RM100,000 or less per year based on KHDN’s records (as of 15th July 2023)
  4. Have not received RM200 eWallet credit under eBelia Rahmah
  5. Have completed the electronic Know-Your-Customer (e-KYC) verification process with the eWallet of choice (Setel, Shopee Pay, TNG eWallet or MAE)

How To File A Dispute If We Fulfil The eMadani Criteria?

Presently, there is a notable concern arising, where online users are facing rejections in their attempts to receive the RM100. Often, these issues stem from inaccuracies in personal details, such as name or IC, or non-compliance with the specified requirements mentioned earlier. Additionally, there are instances where individuals attribute their rejections to the absence of KHDN tax records for the year 2022.

It is essential to note that each person can only claim the eWallet cash once, and it is not accumulative across the four participating eWallets. Applying for more than one instance will trigger a notification regarding duplicate redemption, especially after the RM100 has already been credited to the applicant.

To file a dispute, you can do the below:

1) Maybank MAE

To initiate a dispute with Maybank, the application has provided the identical document from the Ministry of Finance (MOF), emphasizing that any dispute resolution process necessitates contacting the relevant eWallet services where the claim was initially submitted.

For additional support, you can contact Maybank Group customer care at 1300-88-6688 or reach them via email at mgc@maybank.com.my.

2) Shopee

If you submitted your application through Shopee, get in touch with their customer support to initiate a dispute. In the options menu, simply choose "eMadani Claimants" as your user type, then select "eMadani Unable to Claim," and provide the necessary details in the designated fields. Additionally, you are required to upload up to five screenshots as supporting images.

3) Touch n’ Go eWallet

If you are a user of the Touch 'n Go eWallet, you might be aware that among various applications, this one has a longer processing time and could potentially take up to five days (or even longer if luck isn't on your side). However, for those who faced rejection for their eMadani RM100 on this platform, you can initiate a dispute by submitting a request through the app. Select "eMADANI" and "Claim Rejected" in the support section, and proceed to furnish additional details about the rejection of your eMadani application. Attach screenshots as supporting documents during this process.

4) Setel

Finally, there's Setel, Malaysia's first e-wallet designed specifically for fuel transactions at PETRONAS stations. If you need to raise a dispute with Setel, you should send an email to hello@setel.com and provide additional information for verification purposes throughout the dispute resolution.

A Reminder To Spend The Credits

For those considering saving the funds for unforeseen circumstances, be aware that you have until February 29, 2024, to utilize your credits. Any remaining unused balance will be returned to the government.

So remember, do spend your eMadani cash wisely and ensure you make the most of it!
